Course and Eligibility

The Senate of Serampore University Courses (Regular and Distance Mode)

  1. Diploma in Christian Studies – D. C.S Duration of Course : 2 years
    • Eligibility: 10+ 2 years course
  2. Bachelor of Christian Studies – B.C.S Duration of Course : 4 years
    • Eligibility: B.Th./Any Secular Degree

  3.  Bachelor of Theology – B.Th., Residential Program , Course : 3 years
    Eligibility : i. Should have completed 18 years of age

    ii. 10 +2 Passed or its equivalent programme (Diploma Courses in ITI, Nursing, Hotel Management etc. Recognized by the Govt, Education Department considered to be equivalent to 12th Standard) or 10th Passed and should have done two years of further study in a theological or secular institution and should have experience in Christian Ministry or any public or Mature Candidates who is 25 years of age with 10th Standard , with three years of ministerial experience and have passed the Mature Entrance Examination from Senate of Serampore.

B.Th. Programme is considered as adequate degree for the exercise of Pastoral Ministry of the Church . The course emphasizes study of Bible , Christian Faith, History of Christianity and Religions with their Missiological implications in the context of a Pluralistic world . The Practical work provide opportunities for involvement in ministerial practice, exposure to Socio- cultural and religious situations with a view to bring integration in the total learning experience.

ATA-IIM Courses - Regular

    1. Master of Divinity – M.Div.
      • Eligibility: 3 year for Secular Graduates, 2 Year for Th. graduates from ATA/IIM
    2. 3 year Bachelor of Theology-B.Th.
      • Eligibility: +2 Passed .Born again Experience
    3. 2 Year Diploma in Theology-Dip.Th.
      • Eligibility: 10th Passed/ failed. Age 17 and above with Born Again and Ministerial Experience. Suitable for Missionaries & Field Evangelists.
    4. 1 Year Christian Workers Certificate- CWC.
      • Eligibility: Any qualification below 10th STD. The course has been designed for Missionaries Catechist, Bible Woman & other Church related Ministry.

ATA-IIM Courses - Distance Mode

  1. Master of Divinity M.Div.
    • 3 Years for Graduates and Senior people who are 27 years of age and ministerial Experience minimum of 5 years

  1. There are more than 18000 volumes of books in Hudson Memorial Library. It subscribes to renowned Theological, Missiological and Ecumenical Journals.
